Just Serve Him

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Umm, ...Kathleen? Is that the University of Illinois football field? How exactly did you get your group down there?....

That's Guy in the middle. He and Gary power-washed the deck and provided us with extra belt sanders (and many, many belts). Could not have done it without them!

Where's Andrew?

The boys (all 24 of us) bunked in a single classroom. It was messy, but functional. For bonus points, see if you can find Andrew in this picture....

Thursday afternoon

The projects are done.  The residents are coming to dinner.  Last night was a session called four corners... It was a time of prayer, reflection, and reconcilliation.  It is the highlight for many of the teens... although I think Adoration may have topped the list for a few.  Both experiences were extrememely powerful.

If any of you parents have considered chaperoning, you HAVE to do it.  I am pretty sure that the adults are getting as much or more out of this week than the teens.

You are all parents to some pretty awesome young men and women and it has been an honor to serve the Lord with them.  We chaperones have seen Jesus every day this week in the form of YOUR teens.  This is a "next level" camp.  We have mass every morning, and the kids LIKE it.  We are all being fed spiritually, and our spiritual muscles are growing.  Tissue is being torn so it can repair itself stronger!!

The camp priest is awesome and the homilies have been so relevant and full of truths.  The staff is awesome as well.

Tuesday & Wednesday pictures have been posted.

Thank you for your continued prayers.

God Bless,

Brenda

Tues

Last night we had Adoration. It was very moving. Some teens were very emotional. I am hoping to get to Rosary today, but that is my usual picture upload time. Tonight is four corners. I have heard it can be a very emotional evening as well. Snacks are holding up well. Going on a gatorade/water run this afternoon.

This morning we saw a video about a man with no arms or legs who climbed Mt Kilamanjaro. It definitely makes my problems seem insignificant.

God bless you all. Thank you for your continued prayers.
